to go out of my comfort zone and become more social with peers or strangers. To feel like I am making a difference and to study hard by using my resources given to me. To be confident in my decisions in life such as my career or major choice and choose something that makes me happy more than anything.
..the school's environment didn't feel like a community college, it is a very up-to-date and beautiful campus. The staff that I met are very welcoming and assured me I would feel safe and would be helped in any way I needed. I also chose it due to its distance being an hour away from my home, which gives me that "independent college life" while still being fairly close. A big reason that made realize this is a great college choice is because of the amount of programs and classes they have offered despite being a community college, as well as having a handful of resources to help each student like the completion coaches, free tutoring, and a variety of more useful things.
I am excited to continue my self-growth journey by experiencing new things such as people, new classes that I wouldn't normally do, and new environments with the ambassador program that I am in.
My favorite class at CBC so far has to be nutrition. This is because it was very beginner friendly for those who were interested in learning more about their health and the foods they eat but it was also very engaging and hands on. You learn ways to have a proper nutritious meal and you are asked to try new meals and report how they made you feel.
